Specialty Pharmacy

Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy is MESSA’s exclusive provider for specialty drugs.

If you or a covered dependent take a specialty drug, you have to fill your specialty medication through Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy and your drugs will be shipped to you. You can also fill your specialty medication at select Walgreens retail locations. If you fill your specialty medication through a different pharmacy you will be responsible for the full cost of your drug. If you receive one or more specialty medications listed on the drug list at an ambulatory infusion center, doctor’s office, or through home infusion, you may not need to switch to Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy.
