Teladoc Health Virtual Primary Care

Teladoc Virtual Primary Care, online or through the app, allows MESSA members 18 years and older to access U.S. board-certified primary care providers and an entire virtual care team that includes a registered nurse and a certified medical assistant.

Primary care offers long-term, whole-person care including overall health and well-being, preventive care and regular check-ups when it works best for you.

Once you register, you’ll choose a provider who’s right for you. Then, you’ll fill out your medical history so your new provider becomes familiar with you and your health. You’ll receive a welcome kit with a free digital blood pressure monitor.

Your first appointment happens within five days, and lasts about 45 minutes. The provider will address any concerns or questions you have. The virtual care team will work with you to develop a personalized care plan.

Follow-up care is simple. The physician can write prescriptions, order labs and imaging, make referrals to network specialists, and coordinate in-person care if necessary. And if you have follow-up questions or concerns, you can send messages to your virtual care team through the Teladoc app.
