How to file a supplemental plan claim

MESSA partners with Aetna to provide supplemental plans to our members. When you have a claim, it’s easy to file it electronically with Aetna.

You can access your supplemental plan information and documents in your MyMESSA member portal. To get started, sign in to your MyMESSA account and select “Benefits” from the menu. On the Benefits page, select “Supplemental claims” under the heading “Supplemental plans” and you’ll be taken to the Aetna member portal.

In the Aetna portal, select “Report New Claim” and answer a few questions about the covered incident. Once your claim is finalized, you’ll receive a direct deposit or a check in the mail.

If the digital route isn’t your thing, you can also submit a claim through the mail. The claim forms can be found at messa.org/Supplemental. Fill out the appropriate form and mail to:
