It’s open enrollment season for MESSA members
Once a year MESSA members get the opportunity to update their benefits selections during open enrollment.
If you’ve had health changes or life changes during the past year, you may want to review, tweak or change your MESSA health plan. If you previously waived coverage, now is the time to sign up.
To ensure you select the plan that best fits your needs, you should take time to:
- Learn about MESSA’s health plan options and use the plan comparison tool at secure.messa.org/PlanCalculator to estimate your costs.
- Review MESSA’s dental and vision plans at messa.org/dental and messa.org/vision.
- Learn about MESSA’s supplemental plans that pay cash benefits for covered accidents, illness and hospitalizations at messa.org/supplemental.
It’s important to know your deadline for making any changes to your benefit selections. Check with your human resources department to find out your deadline.
This is also the perfect time to verify and update your dependents, as well as your personal information, including email, address and phone number.
After open enrollment closes, you cannot change your benefit selections until the next open enrollment period unless you experience a qualifying event, such as marriage, birth, your spouse losing coverage from another insurer or other limited instances.
