For so many of our members, MESSA makes the difference in their lives. They’ve fought illness, injuries and more, and MESSA provides exceptional benefits and peace of mind every step of the way.

There are a few big differences between MESSA and some of the big players in the insurance industry that you might not know about.

For one, we are not an insurance company; MESSA is a nonprofit organization that puts our members first in everything we do. That means we don’t have one-size-fits-all health plans. Instead, we build our plans especially for our members’ needs.

And what does that mean for you?

It means we know our members, and we work to provide solutions to meet your health needs.

For instance, many of our members have problems with their backs and knees, because you spend a lot of time on your feet or bending down to meet kids where they are. Because of this, many of our plans have benefits to specifically address musculoskeletal issues.

Another difference is the priority we put on service to our members.

We have a team of 16 local field representatives who are stationed throughout the state. They are your local advocates, available to answer benefit questions, assist with billing issues and provide extra support when you need it. Find your field rep at messa.org/field.
